The cover musicians arguing on CList about the “real” musicians are all not themselves what they aspire to be (or what their ego believes). Why? Because the “real” musicians are playing gigs and making money and not fighting over table scraps online. FFS get over yourselves.
You can be a top notch cover artist and still not hold a candle to anyone with the balls to put their own songs out there. If you don’t think you’re getting paid enough to play someone else’s music, maybe a desk job is better for you. You’re being outsourced to the juke box.
