ATLANTA, GA — A construction worker was killed when a concrete staircase collapsed Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex in northwest Atlanta, according to a WSB-TV Atlanta report. The apartment building at 1220 Gun Club Road was undergoing renovations and was empty at the time, according to the report. A two-man construction crew was working on the stairwell when it fell on one of them, officials told WSB-TV's Tyisha Fernandes.
