Description
Me: I play bass guitar, keyboards, guitar. And I sing.
I'm looking to play bass and sing a little with a casual but tight band. Older musicians familiar with Classic Rock mainly 60's and 70's. I don't care what songs we do as long as it's tight, and it's Classic Rock radio hits and familiar album cuts from great artists. We can revise the sets later and just start with what we know. A gigging band hopefully.
I want to do Covers as in copies pretty close to the record. If you are good enough we don't need to rehearse much. Rent rehearsal space.
Or if I find a band with a dedicated rehearsal space I want to play keyboards or guitar and sing shared lead, and harmony vocals. This situation could be originals or covers or a mix. We don't have to copy the record because we can rehearse and iron it out.
I want to play tight no folksy acoustic stuff. But very tasteful.
What I don't want is to run through a list of songs that we feel like playing. I want a band that is competitive, not just good enough to play dive bars. I'm looking for a special situation.
I've been looking for years and haven't found it. Just a bunch of people running through songs drinking beers won't cut it.
I've done too much of that, and I'm not getting any younger.
I'm doing this for fun and a little cash to cover costs so the music really really matters. We need to be better than most bands.
That means learning the songs and playing them over and over until you get it right. Not running through our set list. Ironing out rough spots.
By now you should get the picture and be happy to find someone with similar musical goals.
If it matters, for personal reasons I have not taken booster shots for Covid-19.
