Maintenance Mechanic compensation: $30.00-$35.00 employment type: full-time Role and Responsibility: Maintain production and quality by ensuring the safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Essential duties and job functions • Ensuring efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing Corrective Maintenance on pillow production machines and parts following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications. • Troubleshooting malfunctions and locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems and testing parts. • Removing defective parts by dismantling the devices and replaces with new or reconditioned parts. • Coordinating with Production Supervisor to minimize downtime and plan Preventive Maintenance. • Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques. • Fabricating repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. • Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing orders for parts to proper procedure and verifying receipt. • Conducting planned Preventive Maintenance of machinery to include: servicing internal working parts, cleaning mechanical instruments, creating schedule of planned maintenance in accordance with production schedule. • Servicing electrical components of plant. • Maintaining safe and clean working environment through compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Experience as a certified forklift operator is preferred; must be able to pass certification within 90 days on the job. • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic systems; chains and sprockets; air compressors; PLCs; engineering background a plus. • Welding, fabrication and metalworking. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • 5 years’ experience as industrial mechanic or maintenance role • Knowledge of OSHA regulations • Lock out/Tagout protocols PLEASE SUBMIT RESUME
