I'm a seasoned pro drummer who currently works in a couple solid bands, but I REALLY would love to work in a sometimes band playing reggae, ska and Afro-beat music. I have a ton of experience playing this and many other styles and I've played/toured full time as a musician in the late 80s through the 90s. I want something FUN and INFECTIOUSLY DANCABLE. Seasoned players only, please. This project would work best having great players who can show up knowing all their parts for one rehearsal and go. Maybe a gig every month or so, who knows? Ideally, I would love to work in a band that not just sounds world beat, but also resembles the look of the world. All races, sexes and cultures. No judging, no hostilities, no fascism, just PEACE through MUSIC. Originals and covers are welcomed. I have a few good originals myself. An example of the artists I love: Sona Jobarteh, Jimi Cliff, Manu Dibango, King Sunny Ade, Johnny Cleg, The Maytels, Burning Spear, Femi Kuta, Obo Addy, The Specials, Steel Pulse, Brenda Fassie, Bob Marley, ahhh you get it.
