Is working with dogs your dream job?! Zen Dogs Center in Waunakee, WI is looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our team, and be part of our vision of bringing balance into play. We are currently looking for experienced dog daycare leaders for part-time and full-time hours ranging between 20-40 hours/week. Prior experience in dog daycare/managing dog playgroups a plus, but candidates will be extensively trained in dog behavior & play management upon hire. The Rufferee is responsible for the supervision, control and management of day care dogs and ensuring fun and safety of the playgroup. If you are interested in applying, please send us your Resume! Job Responsibilities: The ideal Rufferee will: * Enjoy interacting with dogs of all breeds and sizes. * Be positive and upbeat, and enjoy working with a team of like-minded individuals who love what we do! * Have experience working with dogs and knowledge of reading basic dog body language. * Take responsibility with cleaning up dog messes throughout the day, and maintaining a clean work and play environment. * Perform positive, reward-based and relationship-based training methods. * Have the ability to operate in a fast paced environment, and be able to be on your feet for long periods of time. * Be able lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various activities with the dogs which will sometimes require you to run, jump, bend, crawl, carry, and of course~smile at all times! * Spend time with the dogs both indoors and outdoors all year round, so must be able to work outdoors and dress appropriately in all types of weather. * Have excellent team player & communication skills. * Have the ability to solve problems, take direction, and react quickly. * Be reliable, punctual, and dedicated. * Maintain a harmonious, positive energy. * Follows the 3 C’s of the Zen Dogs training philosophy: Calm – Clear – Consistent.
