Are you an experienced fleet mechanic, who loves working on a variety of vehicles and equipment? We are a full-service landscape company who is looking to add a fleet mechanic to our team. We have a wide variety of landscape, lawn maintenance and snow removal equipment along with utility vehicles and trailers. This is a full-time, year round position.
Objective:
Follow and improve best practice principles across the organization to improve operational performance thus creating a streamlined full vehicle/equipment life cycle program. Work closely with the fleet and division managers.
Responsibilities
Schedules and administers fleet maintenance, assists in troubleshooting problems with equipment. Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatch, maintenance manager and/or other operations personnel.
Repairs and maintains equipment such as mowers, small engines, 2 cycle equipment, snow plows and vehicles.
Supervises maintenance operations. Plans and distributes the work. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate and helps monitoring performance.
Works closely with managers providing status of maintenance and budget requirements. Reviews repair orders.
Ensures all company safety policies and standards are followed.
Must have working knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of servicing and repairing vehicles and equipment with a strong mechanical skill-set, including knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology and engines.
Hydraulic and welding experience preferred.
Identifies and recommends actions to improve operating efficiency.
You should be detail oriented, able to maintain inventory, operate safely and keep the shop in a clean and orderly manner.
Completes special projects as assigned.
