Hi dog lovers, I am a volunteer helping a rescue organization that has saved hundreds of dogs from dog meat farms in South Korea. I've fostered one of the rescue dogs and want to find a great home for her as she's now ready! See below for more info: ============================================================= Meet our beautiful Gwyneth, previously a fearful dog meat farm survivor, now a playful curious mind. In February 2021, Gwyneth was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea with other 80 dogs. The living condition, food quality, and the horrors that she experienced there is hard to imagine, and so understandably, she has been very scared, anxious, and nervous. With her 'shy' personality, her adoption in Korea has been delayed to give her more time to learn how to trust humans. However, the real turning point for her has not happened until she flew to Seattle and started off her new life with her foster family in January. On her Day 1 in Seattle, she showed her trust and affection towards the dogs at the foster home right away. However, as we expected, she was nervous and anxious when her foster mom was around. Today on Day 60, she is confident and affectionate even to her foster mom. She is playful, food-driven, and curious. She is still scared of any strangers or new things at first but always responds well with repetition. At dog parks, she follows her foster mom around so that she doesn't lose her, recalls most of the time, and sits when she was told so (when there is a treat). In the past couple of months with us, she has proved that she can trust and love her fellow dogs and human (in that order). Now that we think she's ready to meet her forever home, we are looking for a great family who will love and be loved by her. The ideal family for Gwyneth would be one who understands the responsibilities of raising a dog (especially a rescue dog) and can commit to helping her gain complete confidence. We hope the family has a fenced yard and a dog with a good personality at home so that she can settle in faster.
