TDS is currently offering a Hiring Bonus of up to $8,000* $4,000 for all drivers* $8,000 for drivers with verifiable waste experience* (*exclusions apply - please contact HR for details) The Swing Driver operates roll-off, rearload and sideload vehicles to designated customer locations, empties containers and transports contents to designated landfills. This position is responsible for operating vehicles efficiently, safely and in compliance with government regulations. The Swing Driver provides courteous and professional service to all customers. One year of related medium or heavy truck driving experience and/or specialized training; Demonstrate excellent heavy truck driving skills; Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to independently operate commercial motor vehicles; Ability to perform basic math functions; and Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver’s License; Record of safe driving for the past five years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations; Valid Medical Card or the ability to obtain one. *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
