Hello,
I'm a drummer who also enjoys playing guitar, bass (and singing a little, but definitely not my strong suit). I would love to find other people nearby who can play guitar, bass, and drums (singing, keys, other also?) to form a band (or at least jam a bit) where we could trade off from time to time as far as instrumentation goes. I have lots of experience gigging (on drums anyway). If you have some too that would be great.
I'm into all sorts of music but gravitate mostly towards 90's type music (STP, Jane's, Foo Fighters, Pumpkins, Sublime, etc.). I also dig more classic stuff (Beatles, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Kiss, older ZZ Top). I like Djent stuff too (Periphery, Polyphia, Thank You Scientist (not djent, but rad), Moontooth). My favorite band(s) is Quicksand/ Rival Schools. So, I like all kinds of stuff but mostly stuff with a heavier edge (but not like super heavy, I don't like blast beats or screaming, grunting, satan vocals).
So if there are other folks remotely like me in the area I'd love to hear from you.
I have space at my place in Bowie to play, but if you have a space nearby, that's cool too. Probably people in their 30's would be the best fit for me. 40's and 20's may be okay too but any younger or older than that is probably no bueno. Also, if you think that Covid isn't real or that Jan 6th was just good people exercising their right to peacefully assemble, we probably won't get along. Also, also, it would be great to find people who value their health (no cigs or hard drugs).
Sorry if I've come off as an opinionated a-hole, just wanted to be clear about who I am and what I'm into in the hopes of finding some kindred spirits out there.
Thanks for reading my (probably too long) post,
Paul
