Hello, we are looking to add to our team of aquarium maintenance techs. About us: Reef Encounters is a small custom aquarium install and maintenance company located in Thornton. Our service area spans from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs and from Evergreen to DIA. We have been in business for over 40 years. Our business model is to focus on high quality and not high quantity. We are looking to fill about 25-30 hours per week, working two or three days during normal business hours. Which days you work would be flexible. There is a possibility that this will become full time this summer. Compensation and Benefits: Pay ranges based on many factors but $14-$16 per hour is where most people will start. We offer one week paid time off that starts to accrue after three months. You will also receive a mileage reimbursement for the use of your vehicle and a reimbursement for the use of your phone. We are very generous with employee discounts starting after three months. About the job: This job consists of coming to pick up supplies in the morning and then working, cleaning aquariums, usually on your own for the rest of the day. Our aquariums are in residences of all kinds from apartments to multi million dollar estates. We also have them in offices, assisted living facilities, lobbies, medical waiting rooms, nature centers, etc. We try to keep an upbeat and positive environment where everyone feels like they are treated fairly. If you are in the hobby this is a pretty fun job! About you: -Aquarium experience highly preferred -Must have attention to detail -Must be able to problem solve in unique situations, if you like to fix stuff this is you -Need to have a reliable vehicle up to date on registration and insurance -Must be reliable, we set appointments and times and need to be there when we say -Need to have good customer service skills and a good attitude -Will need to pass a criminal background check
