Description
Hyde is a 5 year old bully breed mix. He was trained as a service dog to do the following:
Sit, stay, down, heel, drop, leave it, sit pretty (one paw up), quiet, find the car, find the door, between (facing front), six (facing behind), tactical crouch/crawl between legs, waking handler from nightmares, anxiety/panic attack interruption, and mobility counterbalance.
Hyde was bombproof for years until a handful of attacks by fake service dogs in public.
He’d do best in a single dog home at this point. He still has good manners and follows commands, but a service dog must not exhibit any dog reactivity or aggression. His PTSD is too severe to consider him safe around other dogs, and even other animals. Only folks willing to let him live without the stress of other dogs in the home will be considered. I cannot train my next service dog with him around, it isn’t fair to either of them.
He’s very handler oriented, but needs it to be one on one (vs competing for attention). He likes to play tug of war, and cuddle. Mostly just a couch potato. He loves blankets and clothes because he gets chilly. His rabies is good for another two years, his yearly booster is due this summer. He’s about 85 lbs. No health issues, and he’s neutered.
500 asked to ensure the right home is willing to care for him the way he needs.
