Position Title: Material Handler – 1st Shift Wage: $16.96 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm A global leader in the design and manufacturer of industrial couplings and belted drive solutions is hiring for a Material Handler. Their foundry operations are capable of producing gray and ductile iron parts up to 10,000 lbs. per cast part. This is a 1st shift Material Handler position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Responsible for the facilitation of foundry tooling retrieval and storage for a variety of operational and preventative maintenance tasks. - Follow daily production schedule to pull and put away patterns, core boxes and components of value stream 1 and 4. - Inspect tooling for damage and recommend pattern preventive maintenance when returning tooling to storage locations. - Facilitate carrier transportation for pattern shop work and molding 4 changes. - Identify opportunities to reorganize tooling for increased tooling storage capacity. - Retrieve and return tooling for pattern shop work orders all foundry centers (kit tooling). - Maintain tooling storage location labeling system. - Ensure tooling storage area housekeeping. - Return of casting dimensional checks to inspection area. - Maintain standard component stock for poured: contacts, riser wells, knock offs, etc. - Inspect and replace bolts (as necessary) for tooling. - Other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Read blueprints and do shop math (fractions to decimals). - Retrieve work orders from the work order system. - Return items to the correct work centers or storage. - Accuracy and attention to detail required. - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Previous experience or training with blueprint reading, shop math, etc. - Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. - Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods of time, good hand and finger dexterity, and ability to bend, twist, reach and walk.
