NEW LENOX, IL — Lincoln-Way Central senior Alex Nolan finished second as an individual at the IHSA boys bowling state finals.
According to the IHSA website, Nolan took second with 2,772 points.
Nolan advanced to the state finals due to his performance at sectionals in Lockport, where he scored 1,339. He was the only bowler from Lincoln-Way Central to advance to the state final. The team itself placed seventh at sectionals, and only the top six teams advanced to the state final.
The state final tournament was held at St. Clair Bowl in O'Fallon Jan. 31 to Feb. 1.
