Fall Kick Start​ Soccer League Application Deadline Approaches

NEW LENOX, IL — The last day to apply for the Fall Kick Start Soccer League is Wednesday, the New Lenox Community Park District announced on its website. The program is for children between 3 and 6 years old and lets kids "have fun while learning the skills of running, kicking and teamwork," the district's website stated. The park district said volunteers coaches are needed this season. A mandatory coach meeting will be held Aug. 6. The season for kids ages 3 and 4 starts Aug. 22 and ends Oct. 3. The season for 5- and 6-year-olds runs Aug. 23 to Oct. 4. The parks district said game times are randomly assigned but could be held at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or noon. Players are required to wear shin-guards. Everyone who registers by Wednesday will receive a T-shirt, and the fee covers the cost of a jersey and award.
