We are currently searching for a full time Fire Protection Sales & Service Tech to complete our Medford team. Shift is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Responsibilities for this position require the ability to sell and promote our products and services to prospective customers while servicing established customers on a scheduled and non-scheduled basis. You’ll conduct service calls, provide fire extinguisher testing and inspections to prescribed standards, identify fire code and non-conformance issues and prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports. Knowledge of inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing techniques for fire safety equipment a plus. All training can be provided as needed. Service: These responsibilities would involve testing & filling fire extinguishers from a route, informing & advising customers of NFPA standards, and maintaining customer satisfaction. We anticipate this position to spend 70% of the time servicing extinguishers, and 30% of the time aggressively selling our fire suppression services. One of the most important functions of this position is the ability to self-manage in the field while prioritizing and scheduling your work flow. The position involves daytime territory travel in a company van, which means we’ll need to be able to insure you; safe drivers only please. Sales: We need a goal-oriented person who can build lasting customer relationships by gathering and pursuing sales leads, contacting dormant accounts or former accounts no longer with us, demonstrating products, and educating customers on industry requirements (NFPA 10). Responsibilities would also include speaking with customers over the phone or in person to discuss their fire suppression needs, and maintaining quality customer contact information. Skills needed: Customer service, attention to detail, teamwork, organization & time management, active communication, decision making and problem solving.
