How you will impact the School: We have an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Department as a Building Services Associate! We have both full time and part time positions available. What You Will Be Doing: -disinfecting surfaces, cleaning (mopping, dusting, vacuuming) windows, glass, stairwells, entrances, lobbies, hallways, meeting rooms, offices, classrooms, and vents) and completing routine tasks in an independent manner -responding to and resolving issues (spills, missing supplies, finding lost items, etc) -making special events “special” (working extra hours as needed, performing set-up/clean-up duties, sharing information and resources and meeting deadlines. -working safely! (following safety rules, using PPE, cleaning/abating hazards and spills, submitting maintenance requests and using equipment properly) -performing “deep cleans” and stripping/waxing floors -learning new skills -modeling positive behavior, responding to requests in a timely manner and cooperating with colleagues. -performing other tasks as necessary You’ll be good at your job if you: -have prior experience cleaning in a school environment and can work with cleaning chemicals -are positive, friendly and able to deliver excellent results with little or no directions -take pride in your work and are willing to go above and beyond -can work when it’s hot and when it’s cold -are able to follow a flexible schedule based on the needs of the School (some weekends, evenings and overtime as needed) -can lift, carry, push, pull up to 70 pounds as well as climb stairs and ladders and walk on uneven surfaces; -report to work on time and as scheduled -observe legal and defensive driving practices Why you will like working here: -Medical, Dental, Retirement, Life Insurance Benefits (to name just a few) -Paid Time Off -Breakfast is on us!
