Hello, I am looking to find a new home for my pair of chinchillas. I rescued them at the beginning of Covid, and can no longer afford to care for them. It’s unfortunate but I don’t have the mean to keep my house at 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and I feel like it’s being neglectful to them to not provide them with the optimal conditions to live in. I also work and go to school, and I might have stretched myself a bit thin taking them on. Beyond that, their hair is causing my bird respiratory issues, and as he’s been here longer, he kind of receives the favouritism. I wish I knew of an alternative but no one I know is willing or able to care for them. Also, because I did get them already fully grown, they were never properly socialised as babies. I’ve tried my best, but the most I can get out of them is them taking a treat from on my hand, not too much more. If you are interested, please contact me. I just want someone who can properly care for them. They will come with dust bath, the rest of their food and a travel cage. Rehoming fee does apply.
