Drinks x Design: Small Scale Manufacturing Design Core Detroit is excited to announce the return of Drinks x Design after a two year hiatus! Join us on Thursday, April 14th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm at Carhartt and the Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center (ISAIC) to celebrate small scale manufacturing. ‘United by Design” is the theme for this year’s DxD series and we are focusing on the people, products, processes and services that help our communities be more resilient and unified. ISAIC is working to strengthen the future of our fashion community with a commitment to workforce development, sustainability and re-shoring. At the event attendees will tour ISAIC's world class factory, learn about their apprenticeship programs and capabilities for handling large scale contracts and short runs on-demand orders. Attendees can also shop at the flagship Carhartt store and view the Carhartt Workshop, a first-of-its-kind collaborative community space built by the original workwear company. The Carhartt workshop provides access to tools and landscaping equipment and has a community spaces that can be rented to host meetings, training sessions or workshops.
