To raise awareness that leads to prevention with those who might be at risk and guides them to a professional who can help.
NOTE: To conduct counseling or therapy in suicidal behavior requires a trained professional.
For all who work with adolescents or persons at risk, there is a need to understand suicide, suicidal ideation, and the suicidal ambivalence path right up to the point of death. The material to be presented at this session will raise the level of awareness and prepare each participant to plan on how they might further their knowledge and preparedness to address a situation where there is a concern for suicide
This presentation aims to raise awareness that leads to prevention with persons who might be at risk and guides them to be connected with a professional who can help.
This is part of a five-lesson curriculum to be presented later this year.
