There have been several dog to good home for free posts here lately. You should never give a dog away for free on craigslist. There have been horrible stories about what has happened to dogs who are given away for free. There are unscrupulous people who will act like they want the dog to be a family dog and even recruit kids to go with them to meet the dog. In reality, they want the dog to be a bait dog for dogfighting or worse. You should charge a rehoming fee so this does not happen. Also, ask for references, preferably from a veterinarian. Ask for their driver's license and make a copy of it. Do your due diligence or your dog may end up in a very bad situation or dead.
