We discover beauty and inspiration in the everyday places and faces we often pass, but do not see. Our mission is to build a regional platform that broadcasts the artistry, life, and legacy of underrepresented communities in our city. OUT40 is the first local media outlet that houses art, entertainment, news, and storytelling through the POC lens. The name OUT40 is derived from local vernacular that refers to a side of town known as the Golden Mile on the mile long Route 40 road of West Patrick Street that is referred to as “out 40.” A visionary space for the outsiders, OUT40 has been a voice for minority communities of Frederick for 8 years: we provide a platform for societal leaps and bounds to progression by building a table at which all can sit. FAC ART CENTER AFTER HOURS is a weekend festival offering a lineup of performances featuring local musicians, theater groups, poets, and performers April 7th - 10th, 2022. Tickets required for all events. ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT: Please note that patrons will be required to climb a flight of stairs to access the performance space. FAC ART CENTER is a converted church and Arts Center at 5 East Second Street. The space houses resident organizations, public art projects, offices for FAC team members, and is an affordable venue for artists to hold events, performances, and exhibitions.
