TurnAround, Inc., a nonprofit, serving the Baltimore City and County areas of Maryland would like to invite you to join us as we partner with the Baltimore Defense Academy to provide some self-defense tips to build your knowledge and confidence on how to keep you and your communities safe. TurnAround’s mission is to educate, advocate for, and empower all people impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. We believe in the importance of providing wrap-around services to our community members that focus on prevention, intervention, and restorative practices. In our free self-defense class, you will learn some basic self-defense moves, observe a professional instructor, and have opportunities to ask questions! NOTE: Snacks and complementary parking will be provided for all attendees. Additionally, COVID friendly measures will be practiced in this space – such as 6 feet apart interactions, the use of sanitizing stations, and wearing a mask throughout instructional time.
