Elizabeth River Project will take this occasion to launch our new equity-centered plan for the Elizabeth River. Be the first to hear a brief plan summary, then take a walking tour of the diverse history of the Elizabeth with Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander, Director, Joseph Jenkins Roberts Center for African Diaspora Studies, Norfolk State University. Stakeholders help us revise our Watershed Action Plan every six years. This update calls for improving river access and reducing unfair pollution burdens with every action, while telling the river's full history.
