Laundry Attendant Needed for Immediate Employment

The Historic Russian and Turkish Baths, located in the East Village, is seeking attendants to assist in keeping the facility clean & while provide excellent customer service. Must have experience in cleaning and maintaining a building and laundry experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Gather used products (robes, shorts, sandals, towels) and launder them according to product and spa instructions. Fold and redistribute supplies as required. Clean all areas of the facility (including the spa area, laundry rooms, locker rooms, bath rooms, restaurant, roof deck, steps, common areas and street). May have to put down salt and shovel snow or remove leaves. Accept delivery of baths products and kitchen produce and store them in appropriate areas. Replenish stock levels of supplies including robes, sandals, towels, bathroom supplies, product dispensers; empty garbage as needed. Assist in maintaining spa logbook, check pool chlorine and other spa record keeping as required by manager. Assist in minor repair of facility, if necessary. Ideal candidates will: Be punctual and reliable. Show up to work on time and maintain flexibility with scheduling according to business needs. Be capable of following detailed instructions. Be courteous and respectful to clients, co-workers and managers. Demonstrate the ability to multitask, remaining calm under pressure and working quickly and efficiently. Be able to lift 50 lbs.
