Hi there and thank you for taking interest in this ad. Employer Description: Village Tailor is a tailoring shop that has been around since the 1970s and located in the heart of SoHo. Village Tailor offers the public an array of tailoring services that range from a minor hemming to complex alterations (we also offer dry cleaning and wash and fold services). The hours are eight to seven Monday to Friday and eight to six on Saturdays. Job Description: We are currently looking for a skilled tailor who will be capable of working under another alteration specialist to assist with tailoring needs. You will be required to complete a range of services such as shortenings (hems, sleeves, etc.), tapering, seam openings, finishings, cutting and so on. You will also be required to take measurements and be capable of understanding a customer's needs. We have multiple different, yet standard sewing machines that you will be operating in order to complete certain jobs.
