An evening of music and dance in support of Ukraine. Hosted by DJs Bamba and Copa Vida at Common House Charlottesville. With an ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Charlottesville's Common House is partnering with the Sounds of Love collective to put on a benefit concert and dance event, with 100% of all ticket sales going to the International Rescue Committee. This special evening will feature 2 DJs, Copa Vida and Bamba, who will showcase a diverse collection of organic house and downtempo music, inviting you to dance and vibe to worldly sounds inspired by Ukraine. Copa Vida is the founder of Sounds of Love and a deep and organic house DJ based in Charlottesville. He is joined by Bamba, a D.C. based DJ and producer, and the founder of the record label Downtempo Rituals. Bamba has played alongside renowned artists such as Viken Arman, Monolink, AME, The Soul Brothers, and Iorie. We are accepting donations ($10 minimum) to attend the event. Capacity is limited. /// THE CAUSE /// 2 million people in Ukraine have been uprooted from their homes, on top of the over 2.8 million who have fled to neighboring countries. The majority of those on the move are women and children. The International Rescue Committee is working tirelessly in Ukraine and surrounding countries like Poland to support evacuation efforts for women and children, deliver groceries, blankets, warm clothes and stoves, provide information about housing, employment and refugee rights, and offer psychological care.
