Omowale Adewale is the founder of Black VegFest in NYC, cofounder of Liberation
Farm in Sullivan County, & author/editor of Brotha Vegan.
At once inspiring, challenging, and illuminating, Brotha Vegan lays bare the many paths that all lead to veganism and reveals the unified voices of a “veganized” movement for social renewal.. His many years of organizing, activism, community engagement and being a champion MMA fighter have informed his efforts today and made him one of the leading voices for racial and economic justice, animal rights, veganism and Black solidarity. Adewale will speak on his journey and work, from his time as a Black VegFest to Brotha Vegan, and the programs.
