Join us for the world premiere and afterparty for Outlaw Poet: The Legend of Ron Whitehead. A documentary film about the Kentucky poet. Outlaw Poet is a documentary of the life and times of Ron Whitehead. A Kentucky farm boy who went on to be one of the most influential poets of his time. The film chronicles his journey and the people he met along the way including Hunter S. Thompson, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Diane DiPrima, the Dalai Lama and many more. Join us for a premiere event at Village 8 cinema at 6pm for a short guest presentation followed by the first public screening with the poet and some of the cast and crew and VIP special guests from Ron's storied life. After the show the entourage will head to High Horse Bar at 1032 Story Avenue for an after party featuring a signing event, live performances by Ron and the Storm Generation Band and other live music, revelry and fun.
