SALEM, NH — Two Salem High School students were recently named Seniors of the Month. They received the designation based on character, leadership, service, citizenship, and academics, according to school officials. Emily Lefebre was named Senior for September. She is a three-season athlete involved in cheerleading, gymnastics, and track and field. She is an officer for HOSA, and has been involved in many community service projects. She is also a member of the Key Club and participates in the Make-a-Wish dinner yearly at Salem High School. Emily is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in 68 Hours of Hunger on Wednesdays at the administrative offices. In the future, Emily plans on attending a Pre-Veterinary Program and participating at an internship working with animals. After completing veterinary school, she hopes to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Bailey Nickerson was named Senior for October. Bailey is Student Council President at Salem High School. He also participates in many other clubs and activities such as the Yearbook, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Theatre Arts (tech crew). He is also a class council representative, and a National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) NH Volunteer.
