Founded in 1850, Historic Oakland Cemetery is one of Atlanta’s oldest public sites and cultural landmarks. Learn about ongoing preservation and conservation efforts with a “behind-the-stones” tour led by Oakland preservation staff. Meet at the cemetery’s front gate. Tours are appropriate for children.
This tour will last approximately one hour and is limited to 25 participants. Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of Oakland Ave. and MLK Jr. Drive. Not all areas of the cemetery are wheelchair accessible. Use your discretion when planning your visit.
