Learn about ongoing preservation and conservation efforts with a “behind-the-stones” tour led by Oakland preservation staff. Meet at the cemetery’s front gate. Tours are appropriate for children. This tour will last approximately one hour and is limited to 25 participants. Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of Oakland Ave. and MLK Jr. Drive. Not all areas of the cemetery are wheelchair accessible. Use your discretion when planning your visit. All Phoenix Flies programs adhere to current City of Atlanta health and safety guidelines. All guests, program partners, and employees must wear CDC approved masks for the duration of their visit.
