The Drapetomania Conference is in honor of the legacy of Tunis Campbell and will be held from April 1st- 3rd, 2022.
We entitled this event The Drapetomania Conference because we desire to celebrate the 55,000 enslaved Africans who decided to escape the harsh conditions imposed upon them and their families. We also celebrate the warriors of the Gullah Wars and the organizers of all freedom fighters spanning 400 years, yet kept secret to subdue the heart and mind of resistance.
