Thayer Verschool for Maricopa Board of Supervisors - Fundraiser Kickoff On Friday April 1st, Republicans United will be hosting Representative John Fillmore & Thayer Verschoor who is running for the Maricopa Board of Supervisors. Together the two will discuss the problems within the Board of Supervisors regarding their behavior during the audit, and plans to shake up the establishment. Thayer is a US Army Veteran with over 30 years of political activism beginning in 2002 when Thayer waged a successful grassroots campaign against established candidates for the Arizona Senate. He was reelected four times rising to majority leader and President Pro-tem. In 2016 Thayer became the AZ Deputy Director for Trump's election team. Thayer then continued to serve America the next four years as the Executive Director for Intergovernmental Affairs in the US Department of Veteran Affairs leading initiatives to deliver the right care, at the right time and at the right place through state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology and increased clinician recruiting and retention incentives. Thayer currently serves as the Arizona Republican Assembly President
