A volunteer trail building day for youth ages 12 and up on the new Explorer Trail extension.
Join Pima County Natural Resources, Parks, and Recreation for a youth trail building event over Spring Break! We're going to keep building the extension of Explorer Trail to link it up with the Fiesta Area at Kennedy Park. No trail building experience is needed, and all tools and training will be provided.
We'll meet at the NW corner of Kennedy Park at 9AM and will be back at the lot by 12PM. See map below for meeting location. Coordinates for the meeting location are: 32.18285064219272, -111.01534752050642
Volunteers need to bring water (min. 2 liters) and snacks, sun protection, long pants and closed-toe shoes. Long sleeves and hats are strongly recommended. All minors will need to have a waiver signed by a parent; this can be done at the trailhead or in advance. Please email [email protected] if you need a waiver sent to you before the event.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY PARTICIPANT YOUNGER THAN 14 YEARS OLD WILL NEED TO HAVE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT WITH THEM FOR THE DURATION OF THE EVENT. THIS CAN BE A PARENT, RELATIVE, FRIEND'S PARENT, ETC.
A confirmation email will be sent out prior to the work day. Questions? Email [email protected]
