NEWARK, CA — Newark Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Tuesday of last week. The man, a 56-year-old Newark resident, declined medical assistance. The shooting happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Fair Avenue. Newark Police Detectives are probing the shooting, described as targeted.
