MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Numerous Montgomery County restaurants, bars, and gyms are among hundreds statewide in open defiance of the coronavirus mitigation orders handed down by Gov. Wolf earlier this month. Business owners in the already struggling industries have called the new restrictions, which call for a halt to all indoor dining until Jan. 4, a death blow. As of Tuesday afternoon, a total of 39 Montgomery County establishments were listed on an online petition as "businesses that are standing up to the unconstitutional mandate of governor Wolf." Local law enforcement agencies around the state were briefed on these enforcement policies by the Pennsylvania State Police. It is up to local police to determine whether they will "warn or cite" businesses for any violations. Some restaurants that still offer indoor dining include Bonnett Lane Family Restaurant in Abington, Bridget's Steakhouse in Ambler, Lansdale's West Main Diner, Royersford's Sunshine Cafe, Limerick Diner, and many more. A full list of Montgomery County establishments is noted on PaLockdown.com. RELATED: 356 PA Businesses Defy Gov.
