Derry-Salem Elks Maintenance Worker
Typical Hours:
15 – 20 hours a week, 4 to 5 days a week to include every other weekend and possible extra hours for snow removal
Start Time – 6:00 am
End Time - 10:00 am / 12:00 pm
Inside:
- Trash Removal
- Vacuum rugs
- Sweep and mop grill room and behind bar
- Wash tabletops
- Clean restrooms:
Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors
Sweep/Mop
Trash
- Clean glass doors, windows, and bulletin boards
- Wash trash barrels (weekly or as needed)
- Kitchen clean up
- Function hall setup, teardown, and cleaning for meeting and functions
- Dart night setup & cleanup
- Bingo hall setup & cleanup
- Clean the popcorn machine daily
- Put away deliveries upon arrival (food, linens, supplies)
Outside:
- Clean pavilion restrooms
- Clean pavilion before/after functions e.g., leaf blowing, wash down
- Cigarette cleanup
- Lawn maintenance, cut & trim
- Trim shrubs
- Clear vines in propane tank area
- Snow removal and ice treatment around doors and stairs
Maintenance:
- Some repair and maintenance needed e.g., wall repair, picnic table repair, etc.
- Painting as needed e.g., wall touch up, doors, trim, etc.
- March and September: strip and wax downstairs floors
Other:
- Change the outdoor sign
- Lower/raise the flag as needed
