PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. Cedarville University student Micaiah Jones, majoring in Music Education-Multi-Age, was named to the Dean's List for Fall 2021. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours. The following College of Charleston students were named to Fall 2021 President's List and Dean's List: Rowan Emerson was named to the President's List. Emerson is majoring in Biology. Michael D'Iorio was named to the President's List. D'Iorio is majoring in Mathematics. Alexander Serino participated in Emerson Stage's production of "Next to Normal," performed January 27-31, 2022 in the Greene Theater at Emerson College in Boston. "Next to Normal" shares the story of an American family and the mother's struggle with mental health, presenting it with love, sympathy, and heart. Serino is majoring in Theatre Education and Performance and is a member of the Class of 2024. Sophia Brunet, a 2019 graduate from PVMHS, is a third-year honors student at Salem State University. She is a double major in Education and Math, with a minor in Psychology, and has been accepted into the Master's program. Brunet carries a 4.0 GPA. She reinstated the Education Club. As club president, she formed a board, worked with the State Education office on content, and marketed the revised club. She is also president of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, first taking on the role responsible for recruiting. The Lasell University field hockey team continues to get the job done in the classroom, as 12 Lasers were named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic team, including Sofia Rodriguez. The University of Hartford said Ryan Knight was named to the Dean's List for Fall 2021. Tufts University recently said Andrew Langley (class of 2023) and Jeremy Levine (class of 2024) the Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester. Dean's List honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater. Austin Peay State University recognized Oyetola Oyewole as one of the more than 700 graduates to receive degrees at the fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 10, 2021. Serena Laro and Tatiana Rosario were named to the Fall 2021 President's List at Husson University. Students who make the President's List must be enrolled as an undergraduate student, carry a full-time load of 12 credit hours, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted for the semester, and achieve a 3.80 to 4.0 semester grade-point average. Credits from pass/fail classes do not qualify toward meeting the minimum credit hour requirement. Laro is studying to earn a Biology/Undergraduate degree in Data Analytics. Rosario is studying to earn a Bachelor of Science in the Criminal Justice/Psychology program. The following WPI students from Peabody earned Dean's List honors: Lily Bromberger, class of 2025, majoring in civil engineering. Alexandra Taylor, class of 2023, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Nicholas Tourtillott, class of 2022, majoring in Bioinformatics and Computat Biology. Bryant University recognized students who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement. Sarah Monsini, class of 2025, was named to the President's List for the fall 2021 semester. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work. Colby Browne was named to the Dean's Lift at High Point University.
