Happy Wednesday, neighbors! Here's everything you need to know going on today. First, today's weather: Mostly sunny and mild. High: 58 low: 42. Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington: If you're looking to take a quick drive a town over and get Long Island's best rated steak, head to Hooks & Chops on Jericho Turnpike. The steakhouse recently won Bethpage's Best of LI "Best Steakhouse on Long Island." They have the best of both worlds, serving great steaks along with plenty of seafood options. "The proprietors of Hooks & Chops said that Executive Chef Steven Del Lima 'promises to bring you an unforgettable dining experience with his twist on some classics and a few of his new favorite creations.'" (Daily Voice) Dough & Co. Pizza opened in Huntington. 23-year-old pie-maker Danny Rocca opened Dough & Co. Pizza recently at 318 Main St. The business has been a huge success and Rocca traces it to his roots in the business. "Every pie is unique. Every pie is different. There's a bubble in different spots every single time. The color may be different on every single pie. You expect the pie to be round, but sometimes, it won't always be the roundest. The gluten structure, how the pie grows in the oven. The spring. There's a ton of it to me. But what I love about it is each pie surprises you, because each pie is different in its own unique way." Check them out and let us know what you think! (Huntington Patch) Resident campaigning for improvements at Alfred Walker Memorial Park in Huntington Station. The town is considering a $1.2 million bond that would allow for improvements to be made at the park. Amaru Jones has been on a social media campaign in support of fixing up the park. "There's a lot of parks in town that have been renewed, revitalized. There is a lot of money that's been allocated to parks every year. It seems that people were overlooking this park," Jones said. "It has a lot of property. There's a lot of room for development." The board meets this week to make a decision.
