Caltrol is Hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Benicia, CA! This position is responsible for the shipping and receiving functions of Caltrol. Works with Inside Sales personnel and Account Managers to process customer purchase order requirements being routed thought the shop. Insures customer receives the correct construction and products.  Consistently maintains technical competence with all aspects of Caltrol, Inc.’s principal’s products and other manufacturer’s products as required. PRIMARY DUTIES Examine contents and compare packing slips for accuracy. Prepare documents, such as pick slips and shipping orders to route materials. Daily and weekly cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy.  Pack, seal, label and affix appropriate shipping labels to prepare packages for shipping. Record shipment data for damages and discrepancies for accounting purposes. Report to supervisor any damage or shortages to product received. Receive and put away product in a timely manner. Pick up and delivery of valves Sandblasting valves Teardown and cleanup of valves Determine shipping methods for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures. Report to supervisor any RGA or NCM’s via e-mail. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods, including relative costs. Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems. Excellent customer service skills. Have a sense of urgency to meet employee and customer deadlines. Verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to work overtime as situation requires. High level of accuracy. Use logic and reasoning to resolve issues. Proficient in mathematical computation skills. QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED Proficient with Microsoft software applications. Minimum of two years shipping and receiving experience
