SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown Line To Be Suspended Indefinitely

NORRISTOWN, PA — As the coronavirus outbreak continues, SEPTA is limiting more of its services. And the Manayunk/Norristown line is among those being suspended. The regional rail line will be shut down beginning Thursday, April 9. >>Sign up for Patch email updates here. The Norristown High Speed Line remains operational daily on a Saturday schedule. See schedule details here. Riders should board via the back; boarding via the front is reserved for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. The Line will allow only 30 riders at a time. Bus routes 90, 96, 97, 98, 99, and 131 continue to run from Norristown. The parking garage at the Norristown SEPTA station remains closed. In addition to Manayunk/Norristown, the following lines will also be suspended: Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Cynwyd, West Trenton, and Wilmington Newark. Meanwhile, the Lansdale, Paoli, Media/Elwyn, Trenton, Warminster, Airport, and Fox Chase lines will continue to operate on a limited schedule.
