Here are the top stories from across Connecticut this morning: Two restaurant owners have been ordered to pay back thousands to their employees, according to the U.S. Department of Labor The owners of two Connecticut restaurants have been ordered in federal court to pay more than $100,000 to nine employees who were coerced through threats to kick back thousands in wages and liquidated damages, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Labor. The owners agreed to pay $137,465 to employees to remedy violations of minimum wage and overtime requirements, the news release said. (Read more here). Emergency order issued by state health department Nearly 100 residents are being transferred from a nursing home in Connecticut due to the facility's "repeated and ongoing failure to correct serious and widespread health and safety issues," state health officials announced. Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani has ordered the immediate transfer of 94 residents. The survey resulted in two findings of "Immediate Jeopardy, meaning the violations are serious enough to risk imminent harm to life," according to the news release.
