BRIGHTON, MA — Things are starting to open up again for Boston, as the city starts to embrace a newly lifted mask mandate, Southie's St. Patrick's Day Parade is back on, and a huge, brand new music venue is set to open. Set in Boston's Brighton neighborhood, Roadrunner is scheduled to open Tuesday night after being delayed a year from the COVID-19 pandemic. The project took over five years and $20 million dollars to build, making it the largest music venue of its kind in all of New England, the owners claim. Set on Guest Street, next to The TRACK at New Balance sports complex, Roadrunner is right off of the Boston Landing T stop. The venue features a stadium-sized 60-foot stage and can fit 3,500 people, which might be needed when the Dropkick Murphys play on Sunday, March 20 - the same day as South Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
