Description
BOSTON — Two boys were stabbed after an altercation at the Ashmont MBTA station Monday afternoon.
Police responded to the call in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood around 3:30 p.m. to find two wounded boys.
One of the boys was stabbed in the leg and taken to the hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries, while the other had a superficial injury, Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said in an email.
MBTA transit police say the stabbings were "stemmed from an altercation between juveniles."
Just before 4 p.m., the MBTA said shuttle buses would be replacing the Mattapan Line trolley due to police activity. Service resumed by 8:30 p.m. Monday night.
No arrests have been made, and transit police say they have concluded their investigation.
