The Danbury Republican Town Committee convened last night at a packed conference room in the Maron Hotel in Danbury.
The members of the 2022-2024 Committee enthusiastically elected Michael Safranek as its Chairman, Lindsay Seti as Vice Chairwoman, Mary Ann Strattner as Treasurer, Dr. Mary Cronin as Recording Secretary and Cindy Henry as Corresponding Secretary and Margret Curran on the Sunshine Committee.
The common theme of the night was the party's bright and promising future under its new and diverse membership. Discussion centered on getting out the Republican message for the upcoming elections. To continue running strong candidates for office and increasing the election of Republicans in Danbury.
Chairman Safranek energized the new membership by encouraging them that the future, did in fact, look bright and promising. He believes that the Republican Town Committee will be an integral part in helping future elections in Danbury and hopes to capitalize on the major victories which occurred this past November. He believes that the local Danbury Republican party is more representative of the Danbury community than ever before. He went on to say, "The Danbury Republican Party has reached across party lines and is the Party of Inclusiveness. More and more former democrats and unaffiliates are getting involved with our party, then ever before. It is refreshing to see the local Republican party so diverse".
The meeting closed on an upbeat note with a pledge from the membership to work hard and closely together as one unified group for the common good of Danbury. The membership was clearly inspired by the prospect of even more victories in the coming elections.
