PERRY HALL, MD — A column of smoke soared over a Perry Hall neighborhood where a house burst into flames Monday afternoon.
Before 3 p.m., firefighters were battling a house fire at the corner of Transoms Road at Ballygar Road. The home was engulfed in flames, with smoke visible from miles away.
At 2:51 p.m., crews were called to the 9100 block of Transoms Road, and they found fire visible from all four sides of the home, according to Elise Armacost, spokesperson for the Baltimore County Fire Department.
For safety reasons, she said firefighters withdrew from the home during the firefight.
At 4 p.m., the blaze had been declared under control. Nobody was injured, Armacost told Patch.
