The company considers factors such as diversity, public schools, affordability, housing market, nightlife and more. Brookfield won "A" grades each for its family-friendliness, outdoor activities and the health and fitness of its residents. When it comes to the best places to retire in the state, Brookfield was ranked No. 31. It's No. 57 on Niche's list of best places to raise a family.
