***Description:*** Like being outside? Enjoy being by the water? Let's talk about you working as a dock hand for AHoY boat rentals this spring/summer 2022. AHoY is Seattle's newest and fastest growing boat rental company. We are tech forward company that is all about getting new people into to the water with our fleet of brand new rental boats. We are looking to build our spring/summer 2022 team to help work the docks, check guests in and out, provide safety demo's and have the boats ship shape for the next guests. This can be the ultimate summer job for the right individual. ***Responsibilities:*** * Meeting and greeting renters at the dock and showing them to there boat rental * Showing them how to operate the specific vessel. (You will be taught how to do this via us first) * Completing check in and check out (digital) paperwork with each and every rental * Some communication via app with renters to clarify any details and help confirm bookings * Working closely with the company owners/managers to make sure calendar and bookings are up to date ***Qualifications:*** * Have an interest in boats or working outside. We will teach you how to boat, if your not familiar. * Ability to commute around Lake Union to other possible marina's to make sure boats and guests are all squared away. Bus/Bike/Car/Scooter/Hoverboard are all fair game. 2 Main locations. * Experience with sailing, sailing clubs, rowing/crew, swimming and other maritime a plus, but again not required. All experience all welcome. Grew up with a family boat? That also counts towards valid experience/qualifications. * Ability to deal with change and new game plans * Experience in customer service, front of house, working with customers face to face * Flexible schedule in the spring and full time in the summer - early September. ***Details*** *Organization : Ahoy Boat Rentals *Job: dock hand / boat manager *Location: North America-United States-WA-Seattle-Near Lake Union *Schedule: Part time in the spring, transitioning to full time in summer. *Pay: Starting at $20/Hr with ability to increase based on performance *Timeframe: May - Early September Ahoy is an equal opportunity employer
