CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — The government's $1.5 trillion spending bill includes $178 billion for New Jersey local projects, according to NJ.com. Here's how some of that money is going to benefit Cape May County.
$15.5 million will go to the dredging Townsend Inlet to Cape May Inlet. This will restore beachfront on Avalon and Stone Harbor beaches.
$17 million will go to shore protection at Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Peck Beach in Ocean City to replenish beaches.
