By John Gibson, WNIN Marc 15, 2022 Six more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in the Evansville area. The Indiana Department of Health added three fatalities in Vanderburgh County, two in Warrick County, and one in Gibson County. Vanderburgh's pandemic death toll reached 600, Warrick's rose to 229, and Gibson's reached 137 on the Wednesday dashboard. The number of new COVID infections continued to decline, with 12 in Vanderburgh, four in Warrick, one in Gibson, and one new case in Posey County. The number of hospitalized COVID patients across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana rose slightly to 72. Statewide, 77 more virus-related deaths were counted with more than 400 new cases.
